Default Need a realtor and home inspector in Ulster County

I am thinking of buying a small house in Ulster County -- not far from Woodbourne in Sullivan County. I am very new at this and would like to find a good real estate agent and an ethical, competent home inspector. Any ideas of where to look?

Thanks so much for your help.

Default Thank you and further clarification

Once again thanks so much for responding to my post. Actually, when I wrote Woodbourne, I meant that I'm looking for a property not far from Ellenville along Route 209. Maybe in Accord, Kerhonkson and Stone Ridge, which you recommended to me before. Last night my husband and I found some lovely houses up there but a higher price point than we had in mind. So any realtors in the Ellenville area would be great. My husband and I are rather new at this so I think we probably should have a buyer's agent on our side during the negotiation process. Do you agree?

I don't know if Flemming takes in that area or not. Most of the names I have are more around Woodstock, Stone Ridge etc. Westwood Metes & Bounds takes in the Stone Ridge area which would also mean Accord and Kerhonkson I'm sure since they are so close and Flemming has an office in Stone Ridge. Jeez while looking up realtors names I just found a place in my parent's development for $419,000. Are they insane?! I have to tell my parents about that one since they don't think they can get alot for their house if they sold it. I would like them to move closer to us but it's hard convincing them. I'd rather move up there but can't do it unless I find the perfect place that is cheap with land for the horses. I just looked through my Doorways magazine and most places take in Kingston, Woodstock etc. The names I gave you are probably your best bet, there might be more realtors but I don't know their names since I just have the Doorways here for reference. If you contacted them they'd probably tell you exactly what is available and where since I don't think they put everything they have on line. Woodstock is a pricey area but oh so nice.

We have never sold a home to buy another so I don't even know what the process is or how realtors work. If you mean have your own realtor that would probably be a good idea so they are working for you and not the seller. Good Luck!
