Teen after school programs
In Utica, New York, there is The Underground Cafe Teen Center, in the middle of downtown. It's a 5,000 sq.ft. space where teens come after school for fun, homework help, snacks, dance, music, and art. The program is run by Utica Safe Schools (an independent nonprofit). A staff of three are full time, in addition to two AmeriCorps*VISTA Members who do volunteer management and promotions for the center.
