You can't take some New Yorkers out of NY, nothing wrong with that. I see plenty going back from the Southwest all the time, sometimes within a few months. LOL

When I fly into Charlotte, I see a place that in 20 years will be a small version of LA-with the absurd sprawl and lack of much of a center.

To each his own....

P.S. If I hear You'se Guys one more time I think I'll help start that war. J/K I have no problem with New Yorkers. I realize people are people no matter where they come from. I try to keep an open mind un-like some people who have pre-concived ideas about a paticular region. No bumper stickers here. And I actually don't care for NA$CAR. It's become the WWE of the motorsport world. Too much comercialsm. Support your locale short track!
(NA$CAR's been goin' to Watkins Glen since the mid 50's)

Default lakeman is absolutely right

Northerners will not like the South. NC sounds just like Florida and GA. I can't wait to go back to NY. I'm so sick and tired of the subdivisions and boring lifeless suburbs. After a while, buying a big house just ain't worth it. In the past 3 yrs or so, everybody from the NE ran down to the South. Well i predict that in the next 5 yrs, those same people will be running right back. I know i'll be one of them.

I know plenty of Northerners that have moved to the South many years ago and like it just fine.

I'm curious to know what is driving you to dislike the South so much?

I know I miss having people over; living in NY, we always had company over, no one was ever formerly invited.

That's not enough for me to move back. I just need to shape the people around me in NC.
