Shibainu-you and your data mean absolutely nothing. If you make all your decisions based on demographic data of this nature, you've made alot of mistakes in you rlife for sure. Move to Cleveland or Akron and see for yourself rather than hiding behind your data, and make a real time decision. I've never undrstood why people hate WNY so much, but i'm starting to think the data and rumors people hear about WNY aren't helping!!!

no its not because you want to go back its becasue you go to the florida board and all you do is post constant negativity and won't stop repeating yourself over and over and over . You're writing about the same thing and they all start with "I lived in LI for over 20 years" and then you go on to talk about how no one goes to florida for the weather, if you live in florida you are esentially a moron for liking warm weather, and anyone who goes to the beach is gonna get skin cancer, or how all you do is draw your shades in your house and be depressed all day that you live there, and that you make it a point to "shut people up" and give them smart alek answers when they ask you if you are enjoying yourself/the weather on a particular day , and you hate it cause you didn't move there on your own accord.. Every single post.. One only needs to look at your posting history to see the negativity you say. Not one thing nice , even the mods have taken notice over there

Im moving from Saratoga area (upstate) to New Mexico this June for a 2 year teaching job--I just graduated from the state university at Albany. I know I will miss my bagels and many other things too Im sure. What do you think about going from NY to NM? I'll probably be more towards the four corners area myself, but plan to visit abq, taos, santa fe, etc.

Actually I agree with the poster. Constant negative posting becomes nothing short of annoying. We get your point! These forums are more negative than they should be. The happy people just don't bother posting except the "protectors of the city" which each forum has.

from one "state" to another. In order to do that, someone would have to do a search on me to see if and what I posted on this entire website. That is the point of what my daughter meant by creepy. It almost feels as if I was being stalked. That is not a very good feeling at all. Yes, it's creepy.
That is the point, not WHAT I said. If you really don't like someone, or what they have to say, just put them on ignore. Don't do a search on them.

I am with you. I was born in Syracuse, have lived most of my Life in Oswego County and Love NY. But, My wife and I, in an attempt to "get a better Life" (which was a joke, seeing as there were fewer jobs there than in NY) moved down to West Virginia for two years. We hated it and Missed home so much it hurt. We did everything we could to get the money together to come back home, and Last December we did just that. It is the best feeling in the world being back home.

We moved back to NYC 3 months ago after being 6 years in Florida, Deltona. It was the best move we made it. I love it up here. Florida lifestyle is not my style at all, I do not regret, not at all!

You'll like it alot or you really won't! I'd say no middle ground. Your young and just graduating, it's good to see the world. You might stay just for awhile and come back or might like it somewhere else. You might like NY the best. But, when your younger, you should go wherever you want and see what appeals to you.Once you get a hubby and kids (if that's your thing) it'll be harder to just take off.

Yes I MISS NYC!
I grew up in NYC, moved to Boston for college, then to SoCal after graduation. Unfortunately, all my family moved to SoCal when I was a junior in college. After graduation and having only $20 in my pocket, I had no choice but to move back to my new "home."
I found a job at a reputable company in Pasadena and am now living in Los Angeles county. I've been here for approximately 3 years. Things are looking good in terms of my career, but there is still no doubt in my mind that I know that I do not belong in SoCal. I want to move back east; but with the economy and my lack of work experience, I am having a lot of difficulty finding a job there. Nonetheless.... I am not giving up.... One day... I WILL RETURN!
