How much do NY State Representatives and State Senators make?

I interned for a state senator my freshman year in college.
He made $75,000 a year, PLUS a stipend for days he spent in Albany, PLUS he got a state-issued Crown Victoria. And they only work 6 months a year 3 days a week!
I mean, he was a really good guy, the crusader type, but I think that compensation is way too high considering most of them have outside careers.

Plus they make extra dollars for committees they are on, and some of them are on many.

WOW! I'd love to make 75,000 a year, working 12 months a year 5 days a week. I assumed it was less. Then again, they do have to spend a lot on campaigns. |

They make $79,500 base, plus more for any special committee or post they have.

I don't know how much of their own money they spend on campaigns. There are dozens, hundreds, thousands, and millions raised and accumulated from donors for such.
However, they do have to spend time before they get the job raising these funds.
