Possible Plattsburgher is on a distinguished road
I made an appointment for East Oval Estates! We will also be looking at the new apartments on Club Road, a unit on Court Street, a duplex on Draper Road, and potentially the Seth Square townhouses. Keep the suggestions coming, and thanks!

Default Nunoco knows...........

Hi.........

Just got a chance to recheck this site and whatever Nunoco recommends works for me. I just don't know the price, but it will be a great place for you and the entire old AF base oval area is just so wonderful........Not many places like it in the entire US........Original training grounds for early military ops going back to 1800s with lovely brick buildings, and history and I remember arriving here in early 80's seeing the ROTC cadets/AF colorguard marching in cadence raising and lowering the flag there. Great sense of history and almost reverential in feeling. Sorry, but it is a very special place.

Turns out the townhouse is not my friend's..............There may also be a possible rental at Adirondack Lane townhomes..........It is right on the Saranac River and I know a few were for sale but haven't sold yet. Might be worth a call to REMAX/Century 21 for Joanne Gowett to ask. They are very nice townhomes, but if other things don't pan out, you can always ask, right?
Just more suggestions, plus for the money you are willing to pay, there are some homes (one is listed on the lake in Chazy)! that might be rentable. Our housing market isn't in the dumper, but things are definitely not what they were 2 years ago.......so you might consider renting a home? Just wanting to confuse you even MORE!!!!!!!!

Confuse me all you want! I have been online/ on the phone all day trying to figure this stuff out, so I welcome any and all help.
You mentioned that some areas of Court Street might be okay... the unit is at 121 Court Street???? Do you know anything about Draper Road? I heard it might be a college student laden area.

Post Draper St is.............

a quiet street that parallels the 3/4 floor library/art gallery at the corner of Broad Street and Draper. There are older Victorian or turn of the century houses on that street.........for the most part. It isn't a very long street and it certainly isn't in a rowdy part of the college at all..............It's one of the nicer sections of the college area and is also very convenient to most stores, shops, etc.........

I think the higher the number you are on Court St, the better...........so the one you are looking at should be ok...........Court parallels Brinkerhoff Street and my daughter's friends lived at 104 Brink which I visited a few times. they would have parties and friends over, but my main concern would be if your house's back yard was adjacent to a frat house or horrendously overcrowded student house on Brinkerhoff Street. When you look at Court, talk to some neighbors at some point during your weekend, (it's summer for kids, so there won't be many students this weekend at all.........quiet), and also see who your back yard neighbor will be this fall........If it's a frat house or says student housing, I wouldn't do it..........

Case in point, when the weather got nice 2 years ago, one of those houses was overcrowded on a balcony/deck and the whole thing collapsed, killing one student. Not saying that it can't be a great deal and find..........there are doctor's offices and professional buildings on that street, but just find out who your backyard neighbors are. Not trying to worry you, but am just trying to save you some trouble when fall comes.........

Post It's so tough to

come in from another area and find a place easily here. It isn't like a huge city where there are apartment complexes in booklets everywhere.......Most of them are smaller complexes and the good ones don't turn over very quickly at all, especially now that it's a bit trickier to buy right now. Just curious to hear when you get the chance, what you disliked and liked..............The wind and weather yesterday was so very strange. Too much wind in the late afternoon! Later, Pburgher

Are you asking what we did and did not like about the area or about our housing options?
