Default Need Car Dealership Help- Dutchess County

Hi I’m new here. I been trying to find car dealer reviews but I am having a hard time. I figured asking people directly would be of some help, so here I am.

I was wondering if anyone here has been to Kane Motors(poughkeepsie), Jimmy's Auto Outlet(fishkill), Verdi Motors or Reliable Hondas(both Wappingersfalls)?

If yes then can you please tell me your overall experience with them and also if you received a good working car for a good price.

If not then does anyone else know of any good and trustworthy car dealerships?

I’m scared to buy a car because some cars dealers can be shady.

Thank you for the help, this is my first car purchase.

Honestly, if you looking for a Honda-Friendly has always served us well with used one-last one I bought didn't break the bank-$7000 and it only had 51,000 for a Civic. It is a awesome car-great gas mileage-only thing in 3 years is that I had to fix was the battery-normal maintenance. I've always been wary of the small ones around here. Quite a few people I know though have had awesome luck at Performance Motors on Rt. 9 across from BJ's/Stop& Shop. Always ask for a Carfax-if they don't have one-ask for the vin-and if you are really set to buy it-run the Carfax yourself to make sure you aren't surprised with a rebuilt accident car, flooded out car. Stay away from the big name dealers on 9 for a car-they'll take you for a ride.

Keep checking with Friendly-they seem to have a high turn over of trades coming in. We are looking for a Civic now for one of our kids-one that they can afford. Talk to a salesman and they'll keep in touch with cars that come in that meet your criteria.
