I'm moving back upstate to the Corning area in October but thought I'd start searching now. I'm looking for a rental house, not an apartment preferably not right in town. I miss the quiet coming from metro-NYC. Could anyone give me some guides as to price ranges, neighborhoods or anything like that to make my searching easier? I spoke with a few real estate agencies but they stressed the difficulty of finding a rental house in that area. I'm not ready to buy but would really rather not get an apartment again. Thanks!
maybe the area around Erwin? I know it was booming at one point with Corning Inc $$$ - but then dried up quite a bit, could be some in there, although it's only a guess
