For those familiar with Rockland County-any difference between Nanuet, Blauvelt and Bordonia? (New City: schools)

I understand the schools are all great and when my spouse and I were looking at the map we noticed that these areas appear close to the highways. (as well as West Nyack). We will visit these towns soon (we've already gone to Pearl River and Orangeburg) but I wondered if there was a Main St. near these particular towns where they have Karate/dance etc...type of activities or are these areas not in close proximity. Thank you for any information.

There is at least one dance studio in Nanuet. Not sure about the Karate, but I think I saw one here also.
The Main Street of Nanuet is near Rte59. It has a few small shops and some restaurants.
Main Street in West Nyack is very nice also. New City's Main Street is more a shopping street.

You will have no trouble finding those types of classes. But you will find them spread out in different strip malls around the county. Most of Rockland's towns lack a centralized, walkable downtown area.

Open a phone book, and you will find plenty of the amenities that you are seeking.
