Default One night getaway--know a B&B or cabin 1-2 hours outside NYC? By train? Bus?

Hi,

My girlfriend and I have 1 day to get away from the city
and we want quiet, trees, nature. I'm coming up
from DC, so we'd LOVE to find a B&B, cabin, little hotel
that's really easy to get to from the city and only an hour away---bus or train,
and preferably not too expensive.
I can rent a car too, but hoping not to.

Yes, I realize I'm asking the word. I'm hoping one of
you brilliant New Yorkers can help!

What's a little treasure getaway super close to the city?

This might work: Catskill Guide Lodging Links - Bed & Breakfasts

Woodstock might be a good idea. You can try this too: Hudson Valley Voyager - Entire Valley*—*Lodging, B&B

Bear Mtn state park I believe may have cabins, at the least they have an Inn. It was the former Harriman estate and is across the river from West Point. Probably have to rent a car or taxi from the train.

There are day cruises up the Hudson River from the city too with stops along the way if you don't want to stay overnight.
