Default Stony Point tax issue and housing
My husband and I are trying to stay in rockland county. Preferablly stony point theills area but are open to other areas as well in our price range. Currently we live in haverstraw village and are quite aware of the tax situation here.

We keep hearing that stony point is going to get hit hard this year. Does anyone out there have any sort of information on how hard? We really want to stay in this area but the house prices here on top of taxes might make it hard.

I Lived In Stony Point All My Life Up Until 3 Years Ago... Its Not All Its Cracked Up To Be. One Of The Town Officials Was Involved In A Scandel Right Before I Left And It Really Put A Hurtin On The Residents Of Stony Point. I Really Thought I Would Be Misserable Living Out Of Stony Point, But Its The Complete Opposite. Now, You Could Not Pay Me Enough To Go Back...good Luck

Its not that bad. About 20 bucks a day for taxes.
