I have had three children complete their middle school years at GFMS (youngest started high school this year - two in college) and can honestly say I have not had one issue in all those years. None of my children experienced any bullying. OK, my son was shoved in a locker one day in sixth grade, but he lived to tell the tale and was friendly with the boy all through high school. I have heard nothing about a prevalent bullying problem. Additionally, I worked almost every day as a substitute teacher in the school for a period this past spring and found it to be a great experience. For the most part, the kids were great. Troubled kids are identified and monitored closely. The faculty/administration is professional and caring.
