Question Just looking for some insight!

hello everyone, im moving from manhattan to the sullivan county area & i have 3 areas of interest. If anyone knows anything can they please shine some light for me & give me some insight. This 1st one is Jewett NY, the second is walton village and the 3rd is big indian ny. i've done research on them & the population is dramatically smaller and thats fine but i've read some small town dont welcome newcomers. Im a 25 yr old african american & i've read there 1% african americans in some of these towns. It doesnt bother me but i dont want to be uncomfortable. Can someone please help me.

I know there are some Black folks in Walton, but I'm not sure about their experiences there. It's actually in Delaware County. Some places that way you might like and have some Black folks are Delhi, due to SUNY-Delhi being there and Sidney, due to Brace Residential Center-which is a "facility" for youth. Sidney and Walton are rivals in sports too. I'm not sure about the other communities mentioned. I know South Kortright and Davenport have some Black residents too.
