Rockland County vs Nassau County
Which county in NY would you say is better overall in terms of safety, neighborhood attraction, diversity, and school systems? Just curious.

It depends. Rockalnd is farther away from NYC, more open space, and I presume less diverse than Nassau County. But I assume Rockland counties natural beauty will blow Nassau's out of the water. I've never been to Rockland tho so I'm just guessing please correct me if I'm wrong.
Nassau is mostly heavily suburban developed. Closer to NYC and the beach. That's about it?

Well, Nassau county is actually more diverse and to tell you the truth Thetruth (no pun intended) as beautiful as Rockland County is I wouldn't say it blows Nassau out the water. Nassau is closer to the beach so it depends. Where areas Rockland county is more upstate, with mountains, hills, beautiful rivers and is more open. It really depends, they are both beautiful but Rockland county probably does have a better scenic view. Nassau is really beautiful and the beach is much closer and you get that pictureesque view of the sea. So it depends.

My vote would be for Rockland 110%! I grew up in Nassau County and am not a big fan of Long Island at all- most especially Nassau County. I find it to be very crowded and the traffic is horrendous.
I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

I hope you're not a beach person. Good luck trying to find a beach in Rockland county.

IMHO the only thing Rockland tops Nassau in is that it is less congested. However I have witnessed the areas where my family live become more heavily populated in the past 30 years.
Rockland has some beautiful scenery (Harriman), but I prefer the beach over the hills.

I would say that is what it boils down to. Both areas are promising but are you a hill person or a beach bum?
Me? I'd go with Rockland.
