I know this seems like an odd question perhaps but it's been narrowed down to these 2 places in Westchester and LI and wondered if anyone knew if one town is more laid back, less snooty,.....I would love to have a park, shopping area and library within walking distance. What do you guys think about the atmosphere in these towns and walkability. Thanks to all.

Depending on location, RVC is highly walkable. There are two major supermarkets within the town - one is located on the west side of the community and the other is located on the east side. The library is located on North Village Avenue. It's top notch, but once again, walkability depends on your location.

Mamaroneck is walkable, if you live close enough to Mamaroneck Ave.
