Default Rental homes in Poughkeepsie area?
My husband is in Poughkeepsie today for a job interview. We would be relocating from TX. Can anyone tell me if there are nice, affordable, family-friendly areas, within decent commuting distance, where we could rent a home for under $1500/month? I've heard that New Paltz is nice, but not sure about prices. We have a 1 year old and another baby on the way, so we don't want to cram into an apartment. I haven't been able to find an online resource other than craigslist. Thanks!

Many of the close, surrounding areas are nice and certainly family friendly. LaGrange, Wappingers Falls, Spackenkill, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck all come to mind. I'd suggest looking at these areas. Town of Poughkeepsie also has some very nice parts.
