Question Why are there so many homes for sale in Orangeburg, NY?

My husband and I are STILL looking to buy a home in Rockland County, NY. We noticed that there are sooooooo many homes for sale in Orangeburg. Why is everyone moving? Is there something I don't know about? My husband say's this is a good thing...but it just makes me worry.

From what I know, Orangeburg is a good area in Rockland with very good schools.

Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks all!

I am a Realtor in Piermont/Nyack. Many of the people who are selling their homes are empty nesters who want to get out. They fear the market is going to tank (which it is not....I just paid close to asking price for my home) so they want to get out now and move to FLA. What brokerage firm are you working with?
