Ithaca is a very comfortable town if you are non-white. People here are open minded and very liberal. I will miss Ithaca tremendously when I move away
But Syracuse is a great town for POC because of the history of its support for the underground railroad (Struggles: The Story of the Underground Railroad in Syracuse « Onondaga Historical Association Museum & Research Center Making History). |

not like atlanta, md, or va here. all of our towns are culturally diverse/mixed.

just go to Queens most black communities (except for west queens) are pretty affluent since queens is the only county in the country where the median income for african americans is higher then caucasians

True, Queens, which is also the most "diverse" county in the United States, has quite a few middle to affluet Black neighborhoods and individuals. Also, considering that NY state has more Black people than any other state(around 3.5 million), it shouldn't be hard to find such persons in towns across the state.
