I like him this year a whole lot better than last year. The only real proposed tax hikes would be on cigarettes and soft drinks. Which he made a good point about, if people stop using them, we save through less health costs. If people keep using them, the tax will help to offset the health cost.

I am still extremely doubtful that most any of these proposals will actually go through. I would like to see him downsize unions and the overall state workforce (his own included). Just about every governor has made proposals, they almost never amount to anything. I am glad to see that he has grown a set and is at least attempting to stand up to these guys. I hate how the unions and the legislator always pass the blame around when we run out of money. I'm almost to the point where I would vote for someone else just to put one of these tenured officials out of office.
