Some will say its the weather or cost of living being cheaper in the North somehow for them, but I doubt this highly. I'm sure there's the anomaly (which always seem to be on this site) that prefers 75" of snow and clouds to 8" of snow and sunny days, but its pretty rare.

In addition jobs often pay more in the North for many more professions. There are always trade offs and pros and cons etc.

Exactly.......Weather is subjective and there may be other bottom line factors that people consider or give more weight to.

And some folks just can't stand the increasingly hot summers in the south (you don't need screens on your windows because your windows will only be open 2 days in spring and 2 days in fall as your AC cranks away nonstop). Aiming high in life needs to also pertain to quality of life. Living in the south is not for everyone.

Yes, if you don't like the heat, certainly, don't move to the South. Honestly, if you're a complainer, don't move here. Moderator cut: snip

People say weather is subjective, but only on City Data do people seem to come out of the woodwork who love cloudy weather and 120" of snow. People who look forward to shoveling heavy wet snow into their 80s. I guess if you're stuck somewhere, you might as well put the best spin on it and enjoy it. I personally think living in a t shirt and shorts for 9 months a year is what 90% of the non city data population prefers.

Who are these people on here that have said this? Interesting or is this another bait post?

As a reminder, you agreed to follow the ToS. Report bad posts rather than respond,. Personal attacks, name calling is not allowed here.

Be civil, no personal attacks, flaming, or insults. We may attack ideas (politely) but we do not attack the speaker of the idea. Be careful with your words, there is a point where being direct crosses a line into blunt, in-your-face hostility. Please, report bad posts instead of engaging in flame wars on the boards. Insulting another member or a moderator will not be tolerated anywhere on this website. This includes Direct Messages and Reputation Comments.

If you disagree with something, say so, but explain WHY.

BWAH HA HA HA HA!

Take the right-wing Congressman from Kansas (or pick your state) who is a big supporter of Israel. He has no ambition for higher office, gets 72% of the vote every election, and has 12 Jews living in his district. How is he controlled by the Israeli lobby, hmm?

Because the south is boring (Except Florida) the south has basically nothing but 7-11's and Walgreens!
