Hi! I'm a student studying occupational therapy, going to school in Buffalo, NY. I am going on fieldwork from January to March and I was placed in Sidney, NY at meadwestvaco. I was wondering if anyone knew if there were apartments available for rent just for 3 months. Or if they knew of anyone that might be willing to rent out a room to a student for 3 months. Any advice, would be sincerely appreciated.
Thank you for your time. |

I don't know of anything, but The Daily Star - Online Edition - Oneonta, NY - Local News, Local Sports, Classifieds, and More is the local paper in Delaware County and with SUNY in Oneonta nearby I am sure there are rooms for rent generally pretty affordable. Also there is a local ad rag called the County Shopper with rooms all the time. gl

You could try posting a flyer at the Ar-De's and Price Chopper grocery stores in Sidney. There are large message boards by the doors of both places that seem pretty active and lots of people stop to read through them.
An alternative would be to check with the few B&Bs in the area- January and March are slow times and they might make you a deal. |
