Since they area is small there aren't a ton of excess jobs, but I doubt that you'll have any problem picking up a small, part-time job. Check on campus first, then downtown. There is one place to eat, Eben's Hearth, right across from the main campus that might offer a service position and it would be close. There is also a drug store right down the hill from Clarkson and would be a very easy walk. I would still guess that it might be easiest (in terms of proximity) to find a position in food service, the arena, the bookstore or in various other areas on campus.

You can check for some openings by going to NorthCountryNow.com: Serving Potsdam, Massena, Ogdensburg, Canton, Gouverneur & St. Lawrence County, NY and checking their employment section. They also list rentals in the area. Most apts will be one of several in large homes that were converted. Though you may deal with a small management company, you will be speaking primarily to the owners themselves.

If you are interested....you can work with me. I have one college student working under me in Potsdam right now, but I am sure she wouldn't mind having someone else in her area. Moderator cut: advertising/please send a DM to discuss such matters Take care and good luck....by the way, you are DEFINATELY going to want a car. The towns and cities are not located right next to each other here. Things are really spaced out and I think you would have a really hard time without a vehicle.
