You will not find a tech job in Deposit or Hancock. Matter of fact, you will be hard pressed to find ANY GOOD job within an hour drive.

I was raised in Hancock for my first 4 years. I visit up there frequently.

I suggest you do not move up there and find somewhere else to fish. Maybe up near Syracuse?? Much, MUCH better choice IMO...and you can work at Lockheed Martin or one of the numerous businesses up there and find a ton of lakes to fish at. Then if you want to drive the 1.5 hours to fish in Hancock go for it.

PM me if you want to know why.......

The most high-tech jobs Upstate you are going to find are going to be in the Rochester and Albany areas. Some pretty decent markets in Syracuse and Buffalo too. But other than that (with the exception of Ithaca) all of the small cities and towns Upstate are pretty muich either manufacturing or agricultural based economies.
