Can someone help me identify the strong graphic design programs in this region? Ideally we are looking for those that take credit from the BOCES graphic design program, but I really just want to know what's out there.
Probably the best approach is a traditional 4 year college that just has a good design program, although I want to be aware of the "pure" design schools around here too. Recommendations appreciated!
Check Syracuse University's Visual and Performing Arts department or RochesterInstitute of Technology's design program. Both are private schools and I believe that there are some community colleges with design programs. I work closely with the VPA department at Syracuse and I know a couple of students transferred into the Communications Design program from local community colleges in Mohawk Valley CC and Onondaga CC. So, there are options.

Just search under NY and graphic design. There will be a list of schools that are from all over the state and some are state schools as well.
