In general the Nissan Sentra has been a pretty good car, regardless of year. I don't have any specific details on the 2007. Consumer Reports car issue will have some reliability data.

At the end of the day, the Sentra is a lot like the Toyota Camry - a 4-door, "appliance" car that people drive from A to B, and does not have much enthusiast following.

Unless the car has been wrecked and rebuilt, or has been in a flood (both are real possibilities), it is close enough to new that it probably will work for you for a long time. You can check out the car on Carfax, IMHO worth the money to do that. Obviously if it's from up Nawth or from New Orleans, this should raise a flag with you.

It's not a rare car, if this dealer does not want to deal, you can find another. What are they asking for the car?

I always recommend Sentra's and Altima's as good, inexpensive and reliable cars for people.

They will last a long time, be cheap to maintain, and be a very good car overall.

I highly recommend Nissan.

I think the Nissan Sentra is a great car but you would get much better gas mileage from a Toyota Corolla of the same year.

thanks for the reply's, we went ahead and got it for $13,900, and we couldn't be happier. I did have them show me a carfax report before we agreed to make the purchase.

Thanks again guys!
