I just bought a 2010 Nissan Sentra SR for my wife (for only $14,199!), and we really love it! She likes the CVT and we think it is a very nice economical car.

I would like to buy a new SE-R Spec V version for myself (i prefer manual transmissio, plus would like to 200 hp that it offers), however I cannot find a single place that sells the SE-R and Spec V models in Texas. I live in San Antonio.

Dealer has said that Nissan has not yet release this vehicle, although I've seen other people on the internet posting pictures of their new 2010 Spec V's.

Anybody know where to buy one, or when they will be released here?

You may have to go to a nearby major city to get one. Have you tried dealerships in the Austin or Houston areas?

Thanks, yes i checked nearby cities including houston, austin, and everything thin a 300 mile radius. None of them have any. Even for 2009 models I only saw one dealer that had an SE-R (not spec V).

Great idea, I didn't think about that I'm guessing a dealer would be reluctant to give discounts on cars that are ordered? The dealer i bought my SR from had a nearly $2500 in dealer rebates in addition to the nissan incentives. I guess I'd be looking to pay MSRP minus nissan rebates? Still that puts it at around 18k or 19k, not too terribly bad.

You might be looking at MSRP or more since its a limted production apparently.

Yeah, there's not too much room for arguing the price when ordering a car, but you could always try.

...I wouldn't fight it too hard though. Then again, if you have the budget for it, and offer to pay up front, they'd probably knock some of the price off.

Yes that is where I bought my SR.... those punks just last week they told me they didn't have any... maybe your dad got there the day before me, ha ha. Actually I was dead set on buying the SR for my wife, so it didn't matter, but I wanted to see what they had. Gunn Nissan is a great dealership by the way!

Do you mind me asking what price was paid? I woudl like to try to buy one in the next 2-3 months. Thanks!
