Years ago I used to read article after article on how to avoid drama in the family.Then one day I decided to try something on my own.I decided to picture in my mind all my family members and their drama like players in a football team and my family as two different teams so to speak.I was just going to grab myself something to drink and a bag of popcorn and watch from the bleachers.Whenever either of them tried to drag me in the middle I'd just simply tell each of them that I'm sitting this one out in the bleachers and for them to continue on playing their little game.
With some of them it would work while others continued on trying to get me to intervene in their little game of family drama.Sometimes I just rolled my eyes and think how did my family happen to me. Maybe I should just write a book about my family but noone would ever believe it and think I was making it all up.LOL I always told myself "Thank god I have a sense of humor".
