All I had to do was provide them my password.

Of course I knew better and I knew AOL's policy that they never ask for your password, so I declined. But all it takes is someone very convincing and there goes your account and info.
Yes, which is why I'm glad my mother doesn't participate in that stuff, she would get into so much trouble!

My 22 yo & I are friends and a suprising number of her HS & Univ friends have made 1st contact with me! I wouldn't dream of horning in on her friend list, but its been really sweet to her from some of her friends that I watched grow up.
I also like that a good number of people from my hometown have been able to contact me via FB. I reconnected with my 3rd grade crush! LOL
And, yes, my Mom is on FB and we're friends, as well as my sisters & s-i-l and atleast 30-40 other relatives.

I'll bet those who are friends with their children you only view the "sanitized for their protection" facebook view. You can control what each person sees and doesn't see of your page. They may have a raunchy page that you have no idea about.

My Mom knows allll about my raunchy stuff

My Mom is pretty much my best friend and I can discuss anything with her, no matter how vulgar and she's a pretty good sport about it. Most of my friends also have her as a friend on FB (and in real life) and they talk to her more than they talk to me She is everyone's Momma.

So yes, I'm in my mid twenties and I absolutely have my parents and many extended relatives as FB friends. I still like getting little 'I love you' messages from my Mom

My DD created my FB account for me, posted the pictures, and showed me how it worked. My DS and I are FB friends as well. I usually let them contact me and I try not to intrude.
