Do your adult children (early 20's) friend you?

It's a good idea not to friend family but there is always that one family member who will take offense to it so you are like...dragging your feet....OK! I'll friend you. And then the next thing you know the dam breaks and all hell runs loose.

My son just turned 18. He's been on FB since he was 16, and of course we are FB friends. My nieces and nephews too, and even many of my son's friends...all are on my FB list.

None of my family is on Facebook. My younger brother has an account but it's never used. That said, I'm pretty sure they have a feature now where you can create groups of friends and control who sees what.

Yes. My daughter is friends with both her dad and myself. She is away @ university and it is a cheap way to keep in touch and convenient. I don't see all her friends though as that is kept private from everyone. LOL. Her best friend who also plans to attend the same university soon also sent me a friend request. I only joined FB to communicate with her as she is in another country and has different time ( 2 hour difference) than we do. Easy to talk with her when I am @ work and she is between classes.

My parents don't use FB. At best my cousins create fake accounts for their parents and my grandmother so they can play their games. Also some people tend to steer clear of parents if the parent is the type who attempts to contact and add all of their friends. that is annoying.

I only have a FB because my D24 wanted me to get one. My S20 is a little less enthusiastic about being my friend but since several of HIS friends have added me he didn't really have a choice. LOL. I'm barely on there though.

Why? I don't post anything I wouldn't want my mom to see anyway so I don't mind that she and my dad friended me. A lot of my cousins, aunts and uncles friended me too. It's a great way to keep in touch with everyone while I'm living out of the country.
