... making fun of strangers/others??? HUH?!

I have noticed a trend happening on some of the social sites like Facebook.

People are taking pics of strangers and uploading them to use for mean spirited joking, etc.

The pics will be of people who are one (or more) of these:

obese
physically challenged
style challenged
poor
perceived (by photographer) homely in looks/ugly.

What the hell is wrong with these jerks?

I have deleted many people for repeatedly posting pics of the above examples and cruel remarks.

Man, I just don't get it!!!

To my utter amazement and disgust, many of the folks engaging in the joke fests resemble the very type people they are targeting!

A lot of the people engaging in such juvenile behavior are middle age!!!! We aren't talking teenagers here.

Posting pictures like these has been going on for a while and it's not limited to just Facebook. Examples:

Look at this ****ing hipster

Funny Pictures at WalMart

I don't have a problem with too much of it, but some jokes cross the line (I.E. disabled people).

I wonder how some of these people would feel if one day they saw pics of themselves/ their body parts posted as the subject of the ridicule!?

I've been guilty of sending a cell pic to a friend or two before...some things have to be seen to be believed. It's usually something like the 80 year old woman in line in front of me wearing sheer white pants and a neon thong, or the chubby woman in a string monokini dragging her kids through the bay of play at Sea World...I'll send pictures like that to my sister who has my weird sense of humor.

I wouldn't post something like that on Facebook though or send it to one of those websites.

It depends on who it is. The hipsters might see it as affirmation of their dress/lifestyle (yes! I really am a hipster!).

I'm sorry but those people of walmart is funny. Anyone who actually goes out in public dressed like that deserves ridicule

I have never seen this on facebook. Maybe you need a better choice of friends?

Hmmm...You don't want to know what I now think of you. And since you're like those arse-a-hola folks, it is doubtful you'll even give a flyin' flip.
I bet you're one heck of a human being!

None of my friends on Facebook ar anywhere else has ever done this.

I texted my husband when I saw a woman in her underwear skate boarding through the city, but that's because I thought it was funny, not to ridicule.

I agree with the poster who said you need to narrow down your 'friends'.
