Yeah, I missed it. I did watch him for approximately one minute! I guess the other thing is that our values are at odds . . .he is obsessed with looking good, etc. - I think it's shallow and narcissistic . . .we have very little in common right now.
He has let me know that he wants a girl like me, who is intellectual . . that is one of the traits he thinks he wants . . .so that is flattering and we do talk about "issues" sometimes . . .he just doesn't want me fiddling around in his stuff . . .which I somehow am obsessed with . . .
All sounds normal to me. Looking good, may seem shallow and superficial, hes only 18.
Judging persons are pretty black and white in their reasoning in my opinion.
Mine is INFP introversion, intuition, feeling, perception
These tests are used for job compatibility prediction, counseling, etc.
My first test was in a psych course in college, the second during required pre- marital counseling, the third for fun on the INTERNET, the fourth during sessions with a pain management psychiatrist. They are usually spot on if given properly.
She is Thinking and Judging so is concerned with things that others would not be.
I am married to an ENTJ, totally different from me. We complement each other, but are not an optimum match according to the charts. We make up for that with raw lustful chemistry married almost 39 years.
I am still baffled...you've raised children but "know nothing"?
If you've already raised kids dealing with another shouldn't be a problem.
Experience is the best teacher. Mine taught me a tremendous amount, didn't yours?
Mountains I have no idea what INTJ is but I'm thinking they're are not too receptive to patronizing comments and are more open to concrete examples rather then abstract statements!

Reason: left a word out
Maybe he's INTJ too! OP, no offense, but you don't seem interested in his interests, so why is it a surprise that he doesn't like to talk with you about what he's doing?
He could be on here asking about you. "Why is she always wanting to talk to me about what I'm doing, but when I show her, she has no interest?"

You are fiddling around with his stuff??? Woah, I'd say back off too if you touched my stuff.
He knows where everything is and likes it that way.. not at all your place unless you are his mother or girlfriend.
Of course he is obsessed with looking good--he is young and "in the market" so to speak. It is the time of his life to be his best. IF you are "OLD" as you say you are, and as I am for sure, you really do not have a lot in common at the moment--
Just enjoy what time, conversation, and attention he has for you. His job now is to go out into the world and make a life.
I remember the first time my son said the words "I hate you" to me I was so hurt!!I talked to my friend and she explained that at that second in time he hated what I was stopping him from doing(I grounded him after he broke curfew)! He really didn't hate me he hated the consequences that he was facing!Next time he said it in anger I just let it roll off my back!Once he saw that those 3 words didn't have any effect on me...he never said it again!
You're a quick learner. I am a stubborn case, unfortunately!
