I stopped sleeping naked after this little thing we had called the Northridge Earthquake. Wife used to sleep naked until we had our daughter. Now she never sleeps naked anymore
Sleep in pajama bottoms and a t-shirt, which makes me feel like a kid that needs to go to bed. If I slept without those, I might be distracted, wondering what else should be going on???
At least, I'm dressed for coffee and tea in the AM.
I tend to get hot and also toss and turn so I just can't wear anything or I'm uncomfortable. We wash the sheets once a week and theres no issue with cleanliness.
I find it far more comfortable and pleasant. I have enough problems sleeping without the added hassle of clothes. I am always very hot at night, and I hate the feeling of clothes as I toss and turn.
I don't think I have worn bedclothes since I was about 13/14 apart from extremely cold nights when I will wear a top ( no bottoms though) so my arms and chest( which have to be uncovered as I cannot cope with feeling "smothered")don't get too cold. I go to bed uber-clean after a bath, and our duvet cover and sheets gets washed very often so I really don't see the issue with cleanliness.
Basically I need to be as free as possibly at night if sleep is ever going to be an option... I can't bear to have Hubby wrap his arms around me either at night, I start to feel claustrophobic and trapped.
Here's a life tip: we're not you. There's nothing to discuss, some people are comfortable being naked.
