Just curious.

I created a FB profile once only to get in touch with a former employer and dismantled it right after I made contact. I have no interest in social media, don't want anyone to "find" me or connect with old acquaintances. I figure, if I want to keep in touch I can call/email/text whatever. If I have lost touch, its usually intentional.

I am not a technophobe, I just don't see the point. Anyone have a similar POV? Or, am I missing something truly fantastic and I just don't get what that is?

Out of every one of my friends, only 2 do not have one.

you're probably just socially awkward. it's okay, most people are in this day and age. you just have it worse than most.

No, I don't consider myself to be awkward socially. I am actually really outgoing and therefore don't understand the social media thing. Its useful I guess if you want everyone to know what you are thinking at all times or to stay in touch with people from high school, far flung friends in different time zones or whatever. But the whole "we broke up on FB!" thing eludes me. I don't get it.

I don't use any social networking sites and never will.

I do not and will not, see no reason to, I am not into "Sharing" all about me. This FB thing has taken on a whole life of its own, now the big decision is whether I block so and so and of coarse when I break up....my oh my...what do I do!

Social networking isn't for everyone. If it wasn't for Facebook I'd never talk to my family.

And ironically enough the question is posed on a social network site.
