You are way too enmeshed in your mother's life.
You have no right to dictate to her.

Perhaps you are so threatened because you were counting on her to be your caregiver, should you ever need one?
I can see where you are coming from there.

If that is the situation, have an honest talk with Mom and tell her what your concerns are. Perhaps she can reassure you.

You need to back off. This is your mom's life.

If one of my children tried emotional blackmail on me (wh/ is what you have done!) . . . they wouldn't have to threaten to leave cause I would be showing them the door.
