I am glad to put a smile on your face . Keep doing what you're doing and its an AWESOME thing that you and your mom do almost everything together. Some might not admit it and some probably truly don't care but many people would LOVE to have that bond you and your mother share. Heck, I wish I was that close to my mother!
I could understand if you were being a detriment to yourself, a drug addict or something but you're a very productive member of society! They should be proud of you! But maybe they are secretly jealous. Again, keep doing what you're doing, nothing is wrong with you at all.

They say I should be hanging out more with people my age instead of my mother.
And when & if you took their advice & began dating, they would then turn around and chastise you for "neglecting your mother."
