I guess I use facebook differently than a lot of people. I like the outdoors and don't have a lot of money to travel so I've 'liked' more than a few places I've been to and some I really would love to visit like Denali National Park. I really like seeing the photos and other things posted from all over the world. Just earlier this week, 2 lynxes were caught on camera in the western US and the photo got posted to facebook. It made me happy to see the 2 lynxes out in the wild.
A few of my friends are great photographers and post a lot of their images on facebook. I like seeing their world through their eyes by looking at the photos they post.
It also helps me find new local businesses that I want to visit. I live in the middle of nowhere and would like support more local businesses. A few weeks ago, thanks to facebook, I found a place about 15 minutes from my house that is going to start selling eggs, raw milk, poultry, beef, cheese etc from local farmers. Who knows if I would have ever found out about this place if not for facebook.
Sure I get tired of facebook but I don't think I'll delete or deactivate any time soon.

My Facebook was to catch up with a few, and I mean a few, people with which it made it convenient. Once that part was accomplished, it was about travel pictures, for the most part. My real friends took the time to look at and/or comment on some of my travel pictures. The breeders whose pictures were of their kids couldn't be bothered. But, yes, I too liked looking at travel pictures, even those belonging to friends of friends, which would have made me a "stalker."
Yeah, it was back in the fall and I dont miss it much. It got to be another annoying internet addiction, but not as much fun as posting here.
The whole thing was creepy. Talking to people I knew in grade school....
