I only add people I know IRL, except for a handful of people who have run for local office. Between HS, college, and moving to a new place, I have 400 friends. There are a few people I have hidden from my news feed including a couple people I barely knew in college, and an in-law that keeps trying to sell stuff. I don't really delete people. I prefer to just hide them if I don't want to see their posts.

I'm 27 if I went to school with someone and they were nice to me,I'll add them mainly because I want to how they are doing. Now I do have ones that I just leave pending,Why I do that I don't know. If they were jerks to me in school I don't add them. I only have like 60 friends though. I don't see the point in having hundreds of friends if you don't really know them.

I suppose it depends on your level of involvement with Facebook. I'm not very active with Facebook and never check it. When someone befriends me, I always accept because if they were interested enough to befriend me, then why not. It doesn't hurt me and I honestly don't care because I still don't take Facebook seriously and still think of it like some teenage social media outlet. It just doesn't matter to me

I don't even know how to do that, that's how little I spend on FB. LOL

Facebook rules? I don't have any. If I have to follow rules on social media, then, I don't need it. Life is full of rules, Facebook is for fun and nothing else. If I don't enjoy someone, I don't remain their friend. Simple, easy, and not dictated by rules.

This is a little off the subject but it's getting to the point that it's better to not have a FB account. There is so much ID theft and spam thru FB and why would you want people to see your personal lives.

If you have a FB account, get a boring one with your significant other LOL...post pics of your kids etc, that's fine!

I will only use it to watch my nieces and nephews. Other than that, it's not worth much. (for me anyway)

So in other words, you have a rule...

Fake book is a big problem in our society. I don't have an account but I know of a man who committed suicide with close to 800 friends on line but none in real life.

It does more harm then good. Also, people sinister ways pop up.
