Age 58, no kids, so no grandkids. My DH and I have no close family left and the few friends are caught up in their own family stuff. I have one older than me friend that I golf with but I do my shopping or any fun outings/hobbies alone or with DH. We do get lonely at times.
Overall yes. I don't have a group of friends or go out on Fri or Sat nights though. I have one semi-close friend who lives a 45 min drive away who I see about every 4-6 months. Then, there's a couple of pals (who I wouldn't call close) who I go to lunch with on a random basis, like every several months. I don't talk with anyone on the phone. I do have a long-time boyfriend though who I spend time with all the time.
Hmmm. No. Well i'm a very shy person. I have a mild stuttering problem that keeps me from talkin to people because people will either make fun of me, or won't understand me. I'm 23 still in college, i really don't get out much. I just stay at home and play my game all day, or study. All the people that i know from high school either married w/kids, they have a large group of friends that they hang with all day, or they are just living it up socially. Sometimes i'm surprised that i have not lost my mind yet due to loneliness lol. I feel pathetic venting to strangers on city forum lol, but i made one friend in the past 2 years that i met at college, so i'm not that lonely although he has a girlfriend and works alot. It is hard to make friends if people are different from you whether they are married/in a relationship, they like diffferent stuff, or they have a different politic/religion back ground from you.
Im mostly satisfied at the moment. It isn't as happening as if was but at nearly 7 months preggers, I can't really keep up with my friends like I want to.
