Meh.

Empathic and competent is all I ask.
Gay, straight, male, female, white, black, sky-blue, parent or child-free, Conservative or Liberal, etc and etc, I don't care.
Just be empathic (gentle and willing to answer a question or two before bolting from the exam room to the next patient) and competent. That is all I require of a doctor.
Can't imagine why any other factors would even be a concern but after reading this thread apparently it is for many people.
I don't think my hoo-hah is that interesting and I have talked to a couple of doctor friends about this and both said, essentially "it's all skin and tissue. That is all we see. Just in different shapes."

I actually prefer male gynecologists and it's a bonus if they're gay. I don't know why...
