Not only that, but there appears to be one heck of a sense of entitlement as well as a gross arrogance and misunderstanding about what assistants do. Really, it sounds like someone's knickers are in a twist because his/her eyeballs didn't rate the more expensive coding.
There was a fully trained doctor as well as a new doctor's assistant, you could taste her mother's breastmilk in her mouth. I'm not sure why I am being blamed for wanting the more experienced doctor.
I just find it a bit silly that you are worrying now that 6 months from now you will be both have appointments on the same day at the same time, and she will be the one to get the "real" doctor because 6 months ago she gave him a jar of jam. I do not think this is as sinister as you think it is.

You could be right. Thanks!! Its just a jar of jam. No need to make a mountain out of it!
angrymillionaire...where I live, if the DR has an assistant, or someone in training he/she'll ask you if it's alright with you if their trainee checks you out. You can either say no, or yes...your choice...I don't understand why you'd care, or be bothered by the woman giving the doc a gift....even if it was "premeditated" as you feel it was..there's nothing stopping you from doing the same, and if you really feel that it could give you an advantage in your care, then for your own peace of mind it might be worth it for you....I wouldn't myself just because I've never had a relationship with a doctor in that way...I avoid them if possible, and figure when I do see them, they're making enough money from me as is...never mind a gift.

My problem is that overzealous brown nosing people like this woman are setting an unrealistic standard for the rest of us. Like I said, she got up at the crack of dawn to make sure her 8am appointment jar of jam was ready.

And yeah this is how I see it too, I'd figure at $200 plus an hour specialists don't need incentives like jam. They make enough already!
My problem is that I feel forced to follow suit with slaving for a jar of jam at the crack of dawn the next time I go to the doctor to save face, or just being humiliated because I have no gift to give when people like her present theirs.

Oh my God, this really is one of the dumbest GD threads I've ever seen. LOL
Well, is this about your wacky doctor, or brown nosing?
All I know is the brown noser where I used to work was not fooling anyone. She drove everyone nuts, and was let go.
