Maybe you have more of those out west, I haven't seen many people like that in my life (thank god).

It's not that I doubt they exist, because the bulk of our media presents strong proof to the contrary, but I've never encountered many of that empty kind.

When did the topic change to sex addicts and vampires? Aren't we talking about, "Are you close friends with a gay or lesbian (person)?"

A co-worker recently revealed to me that she is bi. It didn't change anything with me, she is still the same person she was a few weeks ago. She and I can still do things outside of work and my h doesn't feel threatened.

Because there was talk of judging people based on sexual orientation. I don't care what someone's sexual orientation is. I think it's the quality of relationships that are more important, and that's how I would tend to judge people.

I've been screwed over by more straight "friends" than gay friends...... You're right, Greenie.

I have nothing against homosexuals, they are people with many facets like anyone else. However, I've been close friends with three lesbians and eventually, they hit on me. That ended the friendships because I didn't trust them after that. I don't understand why they try it, knowing I'm straight.

In school, I always liked gay guys and talked frequently with them, but they didn't seem to want to get into a close friendship with me.

I am helping two gay men have children, so I guess you would say we are CLOSE.

We are all children of god, and even though I don't think that gay people are "right", I still consider all gays and lesbians as my brothers and sisters and I would not turn my back on a brother or sister just because of their sexual orientation. If a gay or lesbian person wants to be my friend, I would be happy to be their friend.

I have a Gay friend who I keep in contact with that I have been friends and partners in crime with since high school. Another Gay friend that I made in the 20s while working in retail.

To my knowledge no one in my circle is actually a Lesbian but it wouldn't bother me if there were. I do recall while I worked in retail I would often have Lesbians come in the store and they seemed to like me very much, the Gay guys I worked with always made sure I took care of them.

It doesn't make me uncomfortable.

Has anyone thought to ask my LGBT friends how they feel around "straight" folks?
