I totally agree with the OP. Her parents should lend her the money- She never asked for money, she's independent, she's just in a difficult situation right now where she needs money which she will pay back in a few weeks. I don't see any problem here, if I had a daughter I would't even hesitate to give her the money.
Also, if my parents or a really close friend needed money, I would give it to them.I could never feel good about myself if I knew that a person I love is in financial trouble and I don't want to help. Of course, taking into account that the person will be able to pay me back in the future.
