Smiling all the time is fake but there are definitely upsides to it.
It's a usually much nicer experience to deal with store employees in the Usa or in Japan, where the employees smile a lot ( even if fake) than in Germany where looking mean and unfriendly seems to be part of the job description for retail employees.

I am almost always smiling and I love a lady that smiles...but I don't ever tell someone to smile.

Male behaviour: "please, smile at me" ---> smiles , a guy continues: "let's have sex" I have seen that sometimes it is a mark of a guy wanting sex.

Exactly.. Compliments are nice, but many times they're an attempt to get a foot in the door. With some guys a simple smile says " hey I am approachable". Not always no, but how is one to know? Not responding makes the question moot. Maybe we should all wear little badges on our chest.

Men:
Red.. I am the creepy perv your mom warned you about.
Green .. I am a nice guy who just appreciates a pretty girl and wants to make her day.
Yellow.. My ego and pride may be injured if you don't respond, and that's not cool and may cause me to tell you that there's something wrong with "you"

Women:
Red.. Leave me the eff alone! I am a socially awkward b****!
Green... I am so waiting for you to talk to me
Yellow.. I have PMS so approach at your own peril
White... I'd just like to pick up a gallon of milk without having to make your day or have you try and make mine, but thanks anyway.

Why? It was considered phony.

I am not trying to be racist, but it seems black women get the label of being angry when they don't smile more often than other groups.

If you look at yearbooks from more recent decades, notice in the 1950s everyone smiled in their senior picture, then in the 1970s noone smiled because it was uncool. Smiley seems to have come into fashion again, more image conscious due to social media.

The image of that happening is hilarious!
