Just delete, why ask others? If she notices, explain why. Chances are she wont even notice. I'd be more concerned about why this is even a dilema for you?

People keep saying to get off FB but, I like it because far flung relatives posts pictures and comments about their lives and I enjoy seeing it. That is why I stay. I have very little personal info on there.

I have a max of 5000 friends on 2 fb pages (gamer) and I quit playing...so now I have 10000 people I don't know on 2 accounts I can't remember the passwords to! None of them were friends but one, and he has my phone number, lol...go figure, one out of 10000 is actually a friend!

Even if people are on Facebook, they don't need it. Most FB friends aren't real friends and probably don't care to read the random facts of your life.

Need to communicate with family? How about a phone call?

I even write letters still sometimes or handwritten cards. But, I don't get back pictures and responses like we did back in the 1950's, even 1960's. Also, it is often hard to catch them on the phone with the busy lives people lead.

NO, FB is okay if used judiciously and with some common sense. You are the person that has to control your interaction with FB. But, I do know it can get away with you. Just like the gamers and message board posters have to.

I could spend hours just surfing the net, linking from one site to another, soaking up all the knowledge, good and bad.......I am an information junkie and have to really watch myself.

Has anyone else been in such a situation?
People put too much emphasis on Facebook being everything. If/when a person you're supposedly friends with no longer acknowledges your presence, it is time to go your separate way. When you finally delete her from your buddy list, there is a real good chance she won't even notice. If she does, she probably won't care to mention it to you or anybody.

What if the person in real life refuses to add you on Facebook?

Then, they must not find you worthy as a friend...

I realize why she did it. That is why I mentioned she wrote for the local newspaper. I didnt take it personal, I found it amusing really and typical. She obviously sucks at PR if she can't simply wave back to someone in her neighborhood.

This may or may not be relevant but she's from a sorority.

I have nothing against people in the Greek community.
