I have women friends, and they don't expect special treatment. Lots of women don't have those "notions" you talk about.
If you don't like her, or the way she is, then don't be a friend...easy..I'm thinking the only way she can "respect" your differences, is if she changes hers? I think maybe you've just got tired of respecting hers.

This issue could be easily resolved if you simply tell your friend straight up that you don't believe in paying for women. Let her decide how she wants to react to that.

Has she asked you to pay for stuff or are you just making assumptions? Because I've never heard of a woman expecting a friend to pay for anything, unless that woman is confused about the status of her relationship with that friend.

Your response to that other poster doesn't make any sense. The phenomenon he/she was talking about has nothing to do with what women specifically are taught in this country. Here, some people believe that if someone invites you out, that person pays for the outing REGARDLESS of either party's gender.
