It just doesn't work. Of course she's not happy, no one wants to be treated like a child or a pampered pet.
For someone so unhappy she sure does enjoy being pampered.

Do you spend $300 a week on manicures, pedicures and "luxury stuff"?

Your wife is a SAHM (to a college student- she doesn't even see other moms at school in the car pool lane because she doesn't drop him off at school) does she really need to spend $300 a week on mani/pedis & "luxury stuff"? Sheesh
I spend my money on stuff I need. I don't buy $2,000 suits or $3,000 watches. My newest watch was from 03 and my newest suit is from 05. We're oil and water. I'm( sorry if I sound arrogant, but its an expression,) I have champagne money, but Pepsi taste. She has champagne taste thanks to my champagne money I'm not whathisname from Wolf of Wall Street throwing $100s in the wind calling them " fun coupons" and eating lobster on my yacht haha. She doesn't NEED to, but she does. Believe it or not, I've never bought a single item on Michigan Ave. If I'm buying something I shop local

I admit I'm not perfect by any means, but I really do love my family at the end of the day.
