Not really relevant, not really news.

This kind of thing is just a symptom of the real problems.

Yes, I was hoping for more out of her to be honest.

it's just the result of just how, and I don't want to use the " s" word because that word is 99% of the time reserved for children, but it shows just how pampered she's become over the years to now she is expected me to just drop X amount of money in Chicago for a condo PLUS the clothes she'll buy just willy nilly. I'm not Bill Gates. It'd be one thing to come to me and talk it out and how we can both benefit, but coming with a demand of " You should get a Chicago condo( her way of saying " Buy me a condo") is not a good mode of conversation.

I'm curious Irishfan--do the two of you ever discuss finances, long and short term, or does she just assume that the money tree will keep growing?

What should you do to change this?

Are you two still going to counseling? If so, it won't change overnight, but address it there. Not the condo, but the way she tries to manipulate you regarding money in general.

What does this mean to you?

You're hesitant to use the word "spoiled" since it usually refers to children. But you know that you and your wife are in a parent-child dynamic and THIS is what you have to change.

This is about much more than $$, and we have been telling you this for a year.
