How do you feel about drop-in visitors...and what is your age group also so that we can see if there is a difference in opinion from age group to age group?
Personally, I don't like drop-in visitors. I think it is common courtesy to call first to see if it is convenient for someone to come by. I guess that is just the way I was raised. How about you?
Same here, it just shows good manners and upbringing to call ahead to drop by/in to see family or friends.
I am a complete hermit. My dad wants to repaint the shutters but I told him no because that just invites people over. If you want to see me make sure it's somewhere public or the other person's house. We live in a giant family man cave, three girls and a dad. This is my dream house from the outside:

Good choice. Id completely expect there to be 'Condemned' signs all over.

You could sit up in your 'turret' with binoculars searching the perimeter for intruders! Watch those dastardly folk with a cup in hand to borrow some sugar. Once they get a foot in the door, you're doomed.
My favorite phrase I coined is "I cherish my solitude". I like my dog, family and friends but I live alone and love it. One of my nephews is graduating next month so lots of family will be coming from around the country and I don't look forward to that at all. I don't have a spare bedroom for anyone to sleep in and I am not set up for entertaining.

LOL, isn't that home out of a movie, 2 uncles, a kid and a lion?

A week if you're the in-laws.[/quote]
