If anyone was wrong it was the "sister" who made the wrong choice and married the rude dude. If you need sympathy ya gotta punch up the story.... let's see... the condom broke and she needed a husband pronto so she wouldn't be shamed when telling all the judgemental siblings she was preggers by the poor, but good-looking, fast food worker. So she looked at the "Lonely Millionaires" web site and found a guy! (Even though he had three former wives and probably was just passing time on-line since guys with three former wives obviously need no help in finding one.)

If I don't get a response from someone, I leave them be. Or, rather, if I get a response that makes it clear they want to be left alone, I leave them alone. I'm not into pulling teeth. Just ignore him. Let him find his way to the beer in the fridge, his place at the table, and otherwise, just ignore him.
