How do you come to this conclusion? Because your "normally staid and kindly" aunt is a bit racist? Because of your aunts comments you conclude that the whole EU is against foreign workers.
Btw, Switzerland is not part of the EU.
Ah yeah, and ofc it's easy as a EU citizen to work in the US... not!
